Jenny Bailey

Jennifer Bailey is the Director of Enterprise Safety for CenterPoint Energy. With over 20  years of safety and health experience in various industries, including manufacturing and public utilities, Jenny is responsible for supporting all business units within CenterPoint to help carry the mission of safety.  Jenny was previously the Director of Safety and Health for Xcel Energy. In this role, she oversaw the creation and implementation of an action-oriented safety and health strategy for the organization, which includes Generation, Power Delivery and Corporate. She also ensured that safety and health policies meet all federal, state and local regulations while providing risk assessments, training oversight and data- driven safety performance analysis and trend reporting. She is a certified industrial hygienist and a certified hazardous materials manager.

Jennifer has served as the safety manager at American Cast Iron Pipe Company (ACIPCO), a position she began in 2003. In this role, she was responsible for execution and management of corporate safety and health programs and critical strategic initiatives, serving as the primary liaison between executive management, employees and regulatory agencies. While at ACIPCO, Bailey was a leader in developing safety and health programs in the foundry industry in Alabama. Jennifer earned a bachelor’s degree in environmental health from the University of Georgia and a master’s degree in public health from the University of Utah.
