Arnaldo Bayona
PhD Student Candidate
Arnaldo Bayona is a PhD Candidate with the Construction Safety Research Alliance at the University of Colorado Boulder, and is expecting to graduate in the Fall of 2024. He holds a BS in Civil Engineering from ESPOL University and an MS in Construction Engineering and Management from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Before joining the University of Colorado, Arnaldo taught at ESPOL University and worked as a project coordinator and contract administrator for various engineering and infrastructure projects in Ecuador. His passion for construction motivated him to begin his journey as a researcher in the field of safety. His research aims to create safer work environments free from serious injuries by seeking to understand the unique precursors of serious injuries and fatalities. He uses experimental techniques and correlational research to measure the impact of key safety interventions and their return on investment.
