Dana Small is the vice president of Safety, Training, & Environmental at Exelon, one of the nation’s largest utility companies which serves more than 10.7 million customers through six regulated transmission and distribution utilities including Atlantic City Electric, BGE, ComEd, Delmarva Power, PECO, and Pepco.
Dana has over 22 years of experience with Exelon and in her current role drives the strategic direction for the Safety, Training, and Environmental functional areas in collaboration with the Exelon operating companies. Under her leadership, these areas implement strategic initiatives to enhance safety culture, promote environmental stewardship, and ensure a skilled workforce for the energy transformation. Dana previously led process and technology initiatives across Pepco Holdings Customer Operations, including digital channels. She has also served as director of Delmarva Power Electric Operations, overseeing the safe and reliable operation of Delmarva Power’s overhead and underground electric distribution system that serves over 530,000 customers across Delaware and Maryland. Dana has also held leadership positions in Smart Grid, Capacity Planning & Innovation, Project Management and Environmental Planning. She played a pivotal role in Pepco Holding’s COVID-19 response.
She is also a founding member of the Pepco Holdings Engineering Development Committee and served as chair from 2008 to 2017. Dana has served as a Pepco Holdings PAC board member.
