Matt Compher

Vice President, Safety Health Environmental Quality • Quanta Services

Matt Compher currently oversees Safety, Health, Environmental, Quality, and Training for Quanta Services and its operating units. Matt has 21 years of safety management experience with the last 15 being in the Electric Utility and Oil & Gas construction industries. He is a member of the National Construction Safety Executives (NCSE) and an adjunct member of the Edison Electric Institute Occupational Safety and Health Executive Advisory Committee. Matt is also a member of the OSHA Electrical T&D Strategic Partnership Steering Committee where he served as the chairman for 4 years.

Matt served as the past Chairman of the DOL Apprenticeship USA Energy Sector of Excellence in Apprenticeship (SEA). He holds the certificates of Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST), Occupational Health & Safety Technologist (OHST), and Certified Utility Safety Professional (CUSP).

Outside of his leadership in the construction industry, Matt began a three-year term in July of 2019 as a member of the Board of Trustees for The Boys Home of Virginia. Matt and his wife Kelly have two sons and reside in The Woodlands, TX.
