

Seth Washington
Manager of Health, Safety, and Environment • Cheniere Energy
Seth Washington brings over 20 years of experience in the oil, gas, and chemical industries, with a strong record of technical expertise and leadership in health, safety, and environmental (HSE) performance. He holds a B.S. in Environmental Management, an MBA, and the Certified Safety Professional (CSP) credential.
Seth currently serves at Cheniere Energy, where he leads a team of HSE professionals supporting all Pipeline Operations and Engineering & Construction major capital projects. In addition, he serves as the senior advisor for Cheniere’s crisis and incident management initiatives.
His career spans a wide range of roles in both the public and private sectors, having worked with or consulted for organizations such as the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (LDEQ), Bureau Veritas North America (BVNA), BP, and Waterbury Companies. His experience includes major project oversight, technical safety, emergency response, incident investigations, safety culture enhancement, process safety, auditing, and the development of safety programs and digital tools.
Seth has a special interest in safety leadership and organizational culture, and he has long been engaged with the Construction Safety Research Alliance (CSRA). He has contributed to multiple CSRA research projects and has served as a mentor to student researchers, sharing his time and expertise generously.
When not working, Seth enjoys spending time in West Texas, where he’s often found working on his hunting camp.
