Dr. Elif Erkal is a safety academic and professional currently holding the position of Associate Director of Research and Strategy at the Construction Safety Research Alliance. With a civil engineering background, she has extensive experience through previous roles in the industry as a Contracts Manager and an Engineering Consulting Manager, dealing with project risk, sustainability, data analysis, and governance systems and challenges. In line with her Ph.D. work from the University of Colorado Boulder, she specializes in safety performance measurement and predictive analytics dedicated to preventing serious injuries and fatalities.
