Emi is a graduate research assistant with the CSRA at CU Boulder studying Construction Engineering and Management. They earned their Bachelor’s degree from CU Boulder in Integrated Design Engineering with an emphasis in Environmental Engineering in 2023. They began working with the CSRA as an undergraduate research assistant on the “Safety Culture: Measuring the Unmeasurable” project and have transitioned to PhD student. Prior to joining the CSRA, Emi had been a research assistant with the Predictive Science Academic Alliance Program (PSAAP) at CU Boulder experimenting with novel materials and developing ways to infer material properties based on laser vibrometry data. They have also worked as a research assistant for CU Boulder’s Center for Sustainable Landscapes and Communities on a project to improve Boulder’s wildfire safety by assessing Boulder residents’ attitudes and behaviors regarding wildfire risk management strategies.
