
Dr. Arnaldo Bayona

Arnaldo completed his PhD in Spring 2025 and will join Central Washington University as an Assistant Professor in Fall 2025. His research blends evidence-based methods with real-world application, aiming to reduce serious injuries and fatalities (SIFs) across the construction industry. During his time with CSRA, Arnaldo led experimental studies to evaluate the effectiveness of a key safety intervention, drawing causal insights from field-based data. He served as the graduate student lead on the Unique Precursors of SIFs and Safety Return on Investment (ROI) projects, delivering training and facilitating calibration workshops for hundreds of frontline workers and safety practitioners. In his upcoming role, Arnaldo is eager to continue advancing construction safety and preparing the next generation of industry leaders.
