Zach Martin

Master's Student

Zach is a Graduate Research Assistant with the Construction Safety Research Alliance (CSRA) at CU Boulder, studying Civil Engineering with a concentration in Structural Engineering and Structural Mechanics. He graduated from Johns Hopkins University in 2025 with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. At Johns Hopkins, Zach was a student-athlete on the varsity cross-country and track and field teams, serving as team captain during his senior year. At the CSRA, he is currently engaged in the Communications Project, which seeks to improve how serious injury and fatality (SIF) risks are communicated across the construction industry to support safer work practices. Zach draws on his industry experience as a project superintendent and disputes and advisory intern as he develops and prepares to defend his Master’s thesis.
